Sweet Love on Valentine’s Day {Delaware County Lifestyle Newborn Photography}

I’ve been saving this shoot for Valentine’s Day. While all of my shoots are filled with love, there’s a quiet, sweet, palpable love in a newborn session that I just adore. If you’ve got a newborn session in your future, be sure to consider jumping in a few of those shots. Yes, the cuddly, sleepy newborn shots are amazing, but so are those that capture the pride and adoration in a new parent’s eyes. And don’t forget the nursery. So much time and love goes into preparing that beautiful room for your little babe. It’s a perfect setting to capture the love. This little one undoubtedly had a Valentine’s Day filled with love… hope you did too! xo

Sweet Love Indeed!

A special thank you to all who participated in the “Sweet Love” contest this year! Looking back on these beautiful moments spent with you, has had me smiling all week long. To say I’m excited for the year ahead is an understatement!

1st Place – Baby Danny

Danny’s Mommy contacted me when she was just a few months pregnant and as a result, I too anxiously awaited his arrival in the Fall. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter little man to photograph at five days old! I love his little grin in this photo! Danny’s family will receive a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of this image and the opportunity to gift a session to a deserving family!

2nd Place – Baby Emily

Little Emily arrived just in time for Christmas… I can’t think of a greater gift! We worked so hard to get these sleepy shots! (Emily’s awake shots are also some of my most favorite images from last year.) She’s got quite a personality already! Emily’s family will receive a 16×16 print of this image!

3rd Place – Sophia, Evan & Henry

The quote I included at the start of this year’s “Sweet Love” contest was from Audrey Hepburn… ”The best thing to hold onto in life is each other”. I just adore how that applies not only to this image, but to the connection between these three little loves! Their family will receive an 8×10 print of this image!

Again, thank you, thank you for a truly wonderful 2013! I consider myself incredibly blessed to spend my days with you!

It’s that time again… time to celebrate all the “sweet love” that I was blessed to be a part of in 2013. There’s a different story to be told in every image, but a constant theme throughout – the phenomenal connections we have with those we love. Thank you, thank you for the opportunity to capture your beautiful moments. You all bring so much love and laughter into this world!

As many of you know, this is not only an opportunity to celebrate your sweet love, but it’s also a chance to pay it forward to a family you admire. The family whose Sweet Love photo receives the most “likes” on the Dani Dunn Facebook page will receive not only a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of that image, but the opportunity to select a deserving family for a complimentary photo shoot. So start thinking of a family that makes a difference in this world… whether it’s their optimism in the face of adversity, their sacrifices for our freedom or their commitment to making the world a better place. We all know someone that deserves a thank you.

So, let the fun begin! The Sweet Love album will be posted tomorrow, Tuesday, the 18th at 3pm, with the contest running until midnight on Friday the 21st. Sweet Love All Around

Thanks to all who participated in yet another celebration of “sweet love”. It warms my heart to look back on these images, and gets me so excited for the year ahead. I adore that this year’s winners all celebrate the love that a newborn brings into this world!

1st Place – The Beresovoy Family

I’m blessed to be watching these little ones grow up before my lens. Every photo session brings a new adventure – running, jumping, twirling, hugging. Last time I left with my pockets filled with treasures (blades of grass, leaves and candy)! Life is undoubtedly sweeter with these three! The Beresovoy’s will receive a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of this image and the opportunity to gift a session to a deserving family.

2nd Place – The Cunningham Family

A Mama’s love – can you stand it? This image is a favorite of mine. I can’t get enough of the way they’re gazing at one another. I’ve got a feeling they have these quiet, little moments of adoration often. The Cunningham’s will also have the opportunity to gift a session to a deserving family.

3rd Place – The Revitt Family

And then there’s this precious, little guy. You just want to pick him up and snuggle him. Hard to believe he’s already four months old. Time really does pass too quickly. The Revitt Family will receive an 11×14 portrait.

Thank you, thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to capture these fleeting moments with your beautiful children. Watching them grow up is such a gift. As Spring approaches, I’m beyond excited for yet another year filled with “sweet love”.

Nothing warms my heart more than looking back on the “sweet love” from this past year. It’s a blessing to be given the opportunity to capture such loving moments. Sometimes the love is so boisterous and loud, while other times it’s quiet and subtle. Either way, it’s ever present in the families that have welcomed me into their lives.

Last year’s Sweet Love contest was so much fun and came down to 2 votes in the last minutes of the contest. This year the winner will again receive a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of their image, but I’ve added what I believe is an even greater gift. The winner will also be able to choose a family they feel deserves a complimentary photo session. Think of a family that’s been dealing with illness, a family that has a child with special needs, a family whose loved one is serving our country or even a family that just pays it forward and it’s finally their turn. So, head on over to the Sweet Love contest page to place your vote! (And, don’t forget to share with your family and friends!) After all, no better time than now, to spread the love…
