Of course, in no particular order!

We’re two days into the Sweet Love contest and as always, you guys have me smiling.   I’ll tell you this, there are multiple ties and several pictures that didn’t make the top 10 are right on the heels of those in the lead.  Keep sharing and watch for my daily updates, as things change quickly!  Have fun!

I want Julie and Kieran to win!

Sweet Love 2013

Nothing warms my heart more than looking back on the “sweet love” from this past year.  It’s a blessing to be given the opportunity to capture such loving moments.  Sometimes the love is so boisterous and loud, while other times it’s quiet and subtle.  Either way, it’s ever present in the families that have welcomed me into their lives.

Last year’s Sweet Love contest was so much fun and came down to 2 votes in the last minutes of the contest.  This year the winner will again receive a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of their image, but I’ve added what I believe is an even greater gift.  The winner will also be able to choose a family they feel deserves a complimentary photo session.  Think of a family that’s been dealing with illness, a family that has a child with special needs, a family whose loved one is serving our country or even a family that just pays it forward and it’s finally their turn.  So, head on over to the Sweet Love contest page to place your vote!  (And, don’t forget to share with your family and friends!)  After all, no better time than now, to spread the love…

“Yours is the light by which my spirit’s born – you are my sun, my moon and all my stars.”

- E.E. Cummings

Dani, you take the most wonderful photos of my grandchildren (Jason & Allison Beresovoy’s)! Thank you!

‘Tis the season

‘Tis the season to cuddle in a cozy kitchen with those you love.

To build on family traditions and create sweet memories.

We’ve all got that sweet treat that with just one bite takes us back in time.  For me, it’s “Flower Cookies”, otherwise known as butter cookies or spritz cookies.  It doesn’t matter what shape they’re made in (hearts, Christmas trees, stars) we still call them “flower cookies”.   They’re made for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, college packages (back in the day) or  just because.  And, with just one bite, you’re reminded that Mom loves you to pieces.

Wishing you nothing but fabulous treats and sweet moments with family and friends this December!

*These fabulous aprons are created by Paige, of Christine Shirley.  Check out her incredible talent here!

And in case you’d like to make some Flower Cookies of your own…

Flower Cookies

1c. butter, room temperature

1/2 c. sugar

2c. flour

4 hard boiled egg yolks

1/2t. vanilla

Colored sugar (optional)

Cream butter.  Force yolks through strainer into butter.  Mix, add sugar gradually.  Cream until well blended.  Add flour and vanilla.  Fill cookie press, fitted with disc of your choice.  Decorate with sprinkles if desired.  Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until firm.

Enjoy!

Beautiful photographs! I love how you captured them getting into the holiday spirit and baking in the kitchen. Now, I want a cookie! :) xo

Lovebirds {Sea Isle City Engagement Photography}

Lexi and Jon have a love story that I adore.  And from what I understand, their family and friends adore it just as much.  Best friends since 7th grade, just about everyone who knows them has watched the friendship grow into the adoration it is today.  It tickles me that even their grandparents have been close friends for years – I can just imagine their faces on the wedding day.  These two bring out the beauty in one another and remind us just how sweet love is.  Congratulations you two lovebirds!  So many people have delighted in watching this love story unfold – the best is yet to come!

Dani, you have a true gift behind the lens!! Lexi has shared your work with us in the past and your photos always stir my emotions.
Both families went crazy over the beautiful photos of our precious children. Lexi is so fortunate to have you as a wonderful co-worker and special friend!
