Sweet Love Indeed!

A special thank you to all who participated in the “Sweet Love” contest this year!  Looking back on these beautiful moments spent with you, has had me smiling all week long.  To say I’m excited for the year ahead is an understatement!

1st Place – Baby Danny

SweetLove2 Danny’s Mommy contacted me when she was just a few months pregnant and as a result, I too anxiously awaited his arrival in the Fall.    I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter little man to photograph at five days old!  I love his little grin in this photo!  Danny’s family will receive a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of this image and the opportunity to gift a session to a deserving family!

2nd Place – Baby Emily

SweetLove7 Little Emily arrived just in time for Christmas… I can’t think of a greater gift!   We worked so hard to get these sleepy shots!  (Emily’s awake shots are also some of my most favorite images from last year.)  She’s got quite a personality already!  Emily’s family will receive a  16×16 print of this image!

3rd Place – Sophia, Evan & Henry

SweetLove13 The quote I included at the start of this year’s “Sweet Love” contest was from Audrey Hepburn…  ”The best thing to hold onto in life is each other”.  I just adore how that applies not only to this image, but to the connection between these three little loves!  Their family will receive an 8×10 print of this image!

Again, thank you, thank you for a truly wonderful 2013!  I consider myself incredibly blessed to spend my days with you!

Sweet Love

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other”

-Audrey Hepburn

It’s that time again… time to celebrate all the “sweet love” that I was blessed to be a part of in 2013.  There’s a different story to be told in every image, but a constant theme throughout – the phenomenal connections we have with those we love.  Thank you, thank you for the opportunity to capture your beautiful moments.  You all bring so much love and laughter into this world!

As many of you know, this is not only an opportunity to celebrate your sweet love, but it’s also a chance to pay it forward to a family you admire.  The family whose Sweet Love photo receives the most “likes” on the Dani Dunn Facebook page will receive not only a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas of that image, but the opportunity to select a deserving family for a complimentary photo shoot.  So start thinking of a family that makes a difference in this world… whether it’s their optimism in the face of adversity, their sacrifices for our freedom or their commitment to making the world a better place.  We all know someone that deserves a thank you.

So, let the fun begin!  The Sweet Love album will be posted tomorrow, Tuesday, the 18th at 3pm, with the contest running until midnight on Friday the 21st.  Please remind your friends and family to show their “love” by liking both the Dani Dunn page and their favorite photo (or photos).  You are not limited to liking just one photo.  That would be near impossible for some of you, this I know!  Lastly, comments on the blog or the album will not count as votes, but they certainly are a welcome way to spread the love.  Enjoy!

Little Mister {Chester County Newborn Photography}

This newborn session was special for so many reasons…  Of course, the first being that Tripp is my little nephew and I’m smitten with him.  But it was also special, because I was able to collaborate with my sister-in-law and little brother to make it not only a celebration of Tripp, but of our families.  We’re a sentimental crew with homes filled with treasures from those who have come before us.   Everything used in Tripp’s shoot held special meaning for us…

Suitcase – Tripp’s Great-Grandfather, Dwight Dugger carried this suitcase during WWII.

White Blanket – Both Tripp’s Mama and his Aunt Paige were brought home from the hospital in this blanket.  It was handmade by Tripp’s Great Grandmother, Juanita.

Blue Blanket – This blanket belonged to Tripp’s Daddy and was handmade by his cousin, Sandy Jo.

Wooden Swing – Tripp’s Pop Wilson made this swing, just after he was born.  The wood came from a stair tread that was in his Great Great Grandfather Wilson’s homestead.

I couldn’t help but feel that we weren’t the only ones celebrating Tripp that day.  He’s a special little guy, with so many people who love him!

Tripp seems to be dreaming of his life journey with an anticipation as he lay on his great grandfather ‘s suitcase. The stair tread rope swing was too fabulous . Family memories are already in the making! Meg and Chris must be thrilled.

“With grace surround us, With laughter bless us,

With abundance fill us, at this table of family and friends”

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with the love of family and friends!

At a time when we’re reflecting on all that we’re grateful for, it seemed fitting to share my most recent newborn shoot.   This precious baby boy is undoubtedly at the very top of his family’s gratitude list!  Such a little blessing…

Happy {Delaware County Family Photography}

 ”Be so happy that when others look at you, they become happy too”

-Yogi Bhajan

Such is life with these three…you can’t help but smile your way through your entire visit with them.  We spent the evening on a fabulous adventure, searching out “magic” steps, exploring an old greenhouse, chasing Mom through the woods and even belting out a good “Wheels on the Bus” every now and then.  Just looking at their photos makes me smile.  They make the world a happier place, no doubt!
