Joy {Montgomery County Family Photography}

~Find joy in the ordinary~

I love watching little ones find joy in the most ordinary of things.  On this particular night we found joy in all sorts of things…yogurt raisins, “secret” doorways, an old spring house, silly talk with Mom and Dad, the list goes on.  A special thank you to this fabulous family for allowing me to capture their joy once again.  It seems like just yesterday that we were photographing their beautiful little girl as a newborn!  xo

Glitter in the Autumn Air

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers”

-Anne of Green Gables

I’ve been telling my brother for ages that there’s a magic down by their Mill.  Leave it to the beauty of Fall to support my belief.  Loving everything about this image, but especially the sparkles caught in the light as it passes through the door.  Sure, you could call them dust particles, but my sister and I, will undoubtedly go with glitter in the air!

Wishing you all a little magic in the air!

Country Boy {Poconos Child Photography}

This shoot is special for so many reasons.  I’ve had a vision of a little guy in overalls playing on this pedal tractor from the day I purchased it.  I also envisioned the shoot at our little farmhouse in the Poconos…there’s something magical about it up there.  Maybe it’s the crisp air, the bright stars, the smell of the fire, the fact that we’re always surrounded by those we love when we’re there.  I’m not sure, but the light is an absolute dream and it’s hands down, one of my most favorite places to photograph gorgeous, little faces.  The icing on the cake for this shoot, is the little man – my best friend’s son, Matthew.  Love his rough and tumble, squeal with delight, exuberant approach to the world.  I think you’ll agree, he’s the cutest, little country boy around!

Friends as Family

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

-A.A. Milne

An entire month of seeing these beautiful faces has been such a blessing…saying “goodbye” when they return to England on Saturday will, as always, be hard.  So grateful for this extended visit, filled with swimming in the creek, campfires, trips to the playground, shopping, late night chats and a tremendous amount of love.  I’m already looking forward to the next time I can hug them!  xo

Bliss {Philadelphia Wedding Photography}

“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)”

-e.e. cummings

I’ve had this quote from e.e. cummings sitting next to my desk for ages, hoping to find the perfect time to use it.  When Becky and John incorporated it in to their ceremony, there was no question.  If you haven’t had your hands on the poem in a while (or ever), be sure to enjoy it soon.  We should all be so blessed to find such a love, a love that Becky and John cherish every day.  It was an absolute honor to capture their love and the love of those around them.  It’s as vibrant, bright, rich and colorful as the fabulous surroundings they chose to be married in!
